The Slovak Lacrosse Federation, as the direct implementer of the national sports project Generation OLYMP, has successfully carried out the activity “Development of Youth and Children’s Sports in Primary and Secondary Schools through Selected Sports.” The project was supported by the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee (SOŠV) with a contribution of 25,000 € (15,000 € for current expenditures and 10,000 € for capital expenditures) from the state budget via the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Slovak Republic.
From December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026, we organized demonstration lacrosse lessons at schools. We visited more than 5 schools in four cities – Bratislava, Skalica, Hlohovec, and Zvolen – and reached more than 300 students, exceeding the set minimum targets. Children and youth had the opportunity to try this dynamic team sport, learn basic techniques, rules, and its benefits for a healthy lifestyle. The lessons took place in school gyms, using the most modern equipment and professional coaches.
The project contributed to the development of Olympic values, promotion of regular exercise, and discovery of new sports among children.
Approved funds from the state budget in 2025: 25,000 €
We are proud of the successful implementation and thank SOŠV, MCRŠ, and the schools for their cooperation. Learn more about the Generation OLYMP project at www.olympic.sk.
