Unreal, amazing, riveting. Even so, one could name the match between the home team of Monarchs and Tricksters in Bratislava, which was held on Sunday at the Danube Lacrosse League.
The game began better home team and quickly led 3–0. In the first quarter, Trickster did not do well and basically forward, did nothing. In the second part of the game, the game leveled out, but still led Monarchs 5: 2.
The fourth quarter started again with the home team goal and Trickster seemed to leave Vienna with a good beating. However, Kramar commanded the attack and dropped to 6:3, then Purgat reduced the lead to 6:5 with two goals. But there was a mistake in the rush, and Monarchs again raised the lead to 7:5. Eighteen seconds before the end of the game, Kramar reduced to 7:6 and set up the settlement only a second before the end of the regular time of Purgat.
Both teams went into an extension that played for fast death. First, our boys were given a chance to attack, but by losing the ball they offered to score a decisive goal to the opponents, in addition to unnecessary fouls, they played our weaknesses, which the opponent did not punish. The conclusion of the first four minutes was in the hands of the Monarchs, but they failed to score. After the change of the sides, the Tricksters threw themselves into the attack and after a few seconds of the game they managed to score thanks to Purgat. The game ended miraculously in favor of Tricksters Bratislava.
The incredible turn of ours has become a reality and an incredible reality. If someone had bet on Trickster in the bookmaker before the last quarter, the odds would be 100:1 to their disadvantage. But even this match has shown how important it is to put the heart in the game and play until the last seconds of the match.
The last round of this year’s edition of the DLL will take place in Graz, and our boys will play against the home team Gladiators.
